The Cauquenes Building will be the largest building on the Salmon Bay Landing and Salmon Bay Marine center site. With over 44,000 sf of class "A" office space the Cauquenes Building has a feeling of being lifted up above the remaining site providing views of the Ship Canal waterway and future big boat marina. A cafe on the open terrace is proposed to serve the new neighboring office buildings.
The project is currently being reviewed for permits and it is anticipated that construction will begin in the early part of 2009.
The establishment of the Cauquenes Building along with the neighboring Salmon Bay Landing buildings and Salmon Bay Marine Center will undoubtedly create one of Seattle most attractive new office centers serving the Fisherman's Terminal, Ballard, Magnolia and the neighboring Interbay District.
